About Almosnino Fine Art
Almosnino Fine Art in Saint Barth is the colorful kingdom of curator Lynda Jacques. An avid explorer and history enthusiast, Ms. Jacques uses her habit of globetrotting as inspiration for her selections, bringing multicultural perspectives to life in vivid displays.
Almosnino Fine Art offers internationally-acclaimed artists a magical gallery platform, full to the brim of evocative and radiant group exhibits. The gallery currently displays work by David Kracov, Nathan Elkanovich, Calman Shemi, Dorit Levinstein and the acclaimed Yoel Benharrouche.
Open since December 2014, and located on Rue du Roi Oscar II (in the former space of the Donalé boutique), the Almosnino Fine Art is simply blooming with bold bright colors. Krakov’s butterfly sculptures express a note of hopefulness; Elkanovich’s canvases brush with the past in their pop art depictions of Hollywood stars; Shemi’s paintings seem to blur and vibrate the senses; Levinstein’s aluminum portraits of the world’s most famous icons, including Marilyn Monroe and The Beatles, come to life; and Benharrouche’s native spiritualism shines through his geometrical blue and orange abstracts.
These works ensure the exhibit is one of a kind. No other gallery could display such an explosion of color centered on the principle of optimism. With a dynamic lighting design harboring the artwork, the gallery itself looks spacious and inviting, but the works truly call all the attention to themselves.
